Earlier this month I filmed video while waiting for my laundry to finish at the laundromat. I arranged the pieces in iMovie HD and it is now on my YouTube channel, dotdude.

AIM Pages
In light of some new innovations by AOL’s AIM Pages, I have revamped my seven pages. Because there is no way to simply switch from three columns to two columns, I had to reset the page settings. That means that I had to rebuild my pages from scratch beginning with the beginner page layout. I then modified the layouts in Advanced Mode. There are always new modules being created for AIM Pages. So I will be adding more as I go. In the meantime, here are the newest versions of my AIM Pages:

"o" Series New Orleans Finally Finished!
Yesterday I finished the eleven remaining paintings in my “o” series New Oreleans. Theses are all based on sights and experiences since my return from Memphis to the New Orleans area. Today I posted the rest of them on my blog dot art.

New Pages
Besides working on some new dot paintings, I have been tinkering with some new networking pages. Recently these pages have added more features that make the pages more exciting than when I first began to play with them.
Frappr centers round maps. Each participant types a city or town to add to the map. Also, a “shout-out” may be added. There are map categories for a variety of interests: books, browsers, movies, music, television, etc.
Frappr: dotdude
Yahoo has an area called “Yahoo 360˚.” It combines a blog with lists of interest, photo albums and reviews. It has some similarities to MySpace.

YouTube continues to add features. I’ve changed my page to a “director’s page.” After all, the videos I’ve uploaded I put together.

Tres Earns Third Place
Thursday night at the West Bank Art Guild meeting, a painting of mine placed third in the "artist of the month" competition. Below is the piece I entered. During the break all the artists voted. It is always great to receive recognition from my peers.
After the meeting and program, the painting was hung in the center gallery along with the first and second place winners. Before, only the first place winner was honored. Now all three places are honored.
This is one of three paintings completed last October. I made a concerted effort to be less geometric in completing these paintings. The response from my fellow artists and non-artists has been very positive.

Honorable Mention in St. Bernard Show
Today the St. Bernard Art Guild had a combination Christmas Party and Member’s Art Show. The judge was Julia Deal, a collector. VideoSift Charter Member
Not long ago I became a charter member on the VideoSift site. It is a video sharing community. Members submit videos and vote on each other’s submissions. Here is a link for my page on the site. I have customized the page to go with my avatar, one of my paintings.

Chez Collage
Tonight I’ve added an AIM page devoted to my collage art. The default format is two columns instead of three. The page has many of the same items as the other ones.

Teatro Wego!
Last Wednesday I was contacted about hanging art in the lobby of the Westwego Community Center on Sala Avenue. The Jefferson Performing Arts Society (JPAS) has a buffet in the building as part of its dinner theater and dinner before theatrical productions. Yesterday afternoon I hung fourteen pieces with similar visual themes. They will be on display through December 5, 2006. This is the first of many exhibits in the center. Click on the WCC link in the first sentence to view the art.

Renamed Blog
Today I changed my blog i see dots blog to match its address dot art. It is the first blog I ever created. After blogging for almost a year, I figured it a logical move. The address is what really counts. Also, I posted some new work on the blog.

Converting to Blogger in Beta
In the coming days you will notice changes on this blog and my other blogs. I am converting to the newest version of Blogger. It will take a while to convert everything. Some formatting was lost in the process and has to be redone.
There are more features available with this version of Blogger and even more promised. In the meantime I’m learning what does what still, so please bear with me. Hopefully, navigating will be easier.

Two More AIM Pages!
The blurb about my AIM Page, Splatter Studio, brought a lot of traffic to my page. Well, I decided to create two more AIM pages for my other types of art. Already my blogs have experienced more traffic.
Dance Floor
Rest and Motion
I also revamped one of my earlier AIM Pages. There is no need to have two devoted to my “dot art” when I do create other types of art.
